Food is not a reward. It is not a pacifier. Food is not a substitute for a good cry or talking out your problems with a trusted friend. So many of us, me included, use food for things beyond what it is intended. Food cannot bring one happiness or joy. Only we can do that.
I have to remind myself daily food is fuel for my body. Nothing more, nothing less. Let me repeat, food is fuel for my body only. Nothing more, nothing less.
