I was pretty diligent and didn't do any late night munching last night, and lo and behold, the scale had good news for me this morning. Nice!

So Chinese food for take out tonight...first time venturing into that since I've started here at FS. But you know what, I've alway chosen the steamed shrimp and vegetables for several years now. (Mostly because I don't trust the beef/chicken/pork - at least shrimp has to look like shrimp, right?) And I get the white rice. My splurge is the Egg Roll, love those bugggers. In my efforts to get the nutritional info accurate for my food journal, I learned a few things in my searching. Apparently most Chinese joints carry steamed brown rice, you just have to ask for it. Almost seems like sacriledge, like it might be illegal to serve brown rice w/ a Chinese dish. But good to know. Also, I would have saved some calories had I chosen a "Spring Roll" instead of an "Egg Roll". I had no clue there was even any difference there, much less nutritional differences. Learn something new every day.

The Dragon got stood up today. However I did get a rather interesting work out in. I went shopping at BJs Wholesale club, armed with a pocket full of coupons for cases of soda and water for an upcoming party we're throwing. So it was one of those trips where you do not grab the cart, but instead head straight for the flat on wheels. And let me tell you, til I had that thing loaded up and was trying to drag it through the store, I had worked up a sweat. Those things are really tough to steer, esp when loaded with a ton of heavy drink cases. And who's the genius that said "Hey we should put all these heavy cases of water and soda, ALL THE WAY IN THE BACK OF THE STORE, cause you know, that would be a good idea"?!?! Amazing. I felt like one of those big huge guys that pushes around trucks on that G4 channel and looked just about as silly.

LOL You didn't need the Dragon, you got the workout at BJ's! lol Chinese would be hard for me. I always go to buffets because I feel like I get more for my money and I ALWAYS have to have sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. I love how you planned for your supper and even though you "splurged", you stayed in your calories. Great job!!!

Yup, I sit down the night before, and plan out everything I think I might eat the next day. I mean, have to plan for dinner the night before anyways if you have to thaw something from the freezer. And I pack lunch to work, usually the night before and I keep breakfast pretty simple, or I'd never get all of us out the door to school/work/daycare. That way I know exactly where my calorie total is at. And if there's some sort of event coming up (like I know I have a BBQ to attend tonight) I can kinda figure out where I can make some wiggle room, the calorie counter here makes it so easy, I love it!
