I started South Beach almost 2 weeks ago before I found this site. As of my first week, I was down 5 pounds. My weigh-in for my second week is tomorrow morning. I am praying for another 5! I am hoping to see the low 180s on the scale...wish me luck!! We have a company party on April 18th, so my first goal is be down to 170 by then. To do that, I plan to stay in Phase 1 until then. I heard the cravings were supposed to be gone after the 2 weeks, that was one of the main purposes for the first phase. Um, still could use something baked in the morning! Wouldn't mind some of my favorite chips in the afternoon! When does that go away exactly??? :)

Phase one is for the regulation of your blood sugar, and for killing the cravings, you're right :) Staying in phase one longer than the two weeks won't necessarily give you more big drops in weight. If you move to phase two, you can slowly start adding grains and fruit...and then you won't be "cheating" when you have something baked in the morning...and the chips?? Well, they're a thorn in my side too...

Try the belgian waffles or ricotta pancakes with Walden Farms zero calorie syrup. That carried me in phase I. They are really good and taste like you are cheating! You can find the recipe in the kitchen on this site. Congratulations on your success so far. Keep it up!
