Weigh-in tomorrow. I was at 99.7kg today, but didn't record it because if I don't go lower, I don't record it, but if it's friday, I have to. Life is very busy and kidding season is here. One of my goats if very sick, and I don't think she's going to make it. She was pregnant and usually a good mom. I hope she makes it. So not much exercises, just running around the barn. I will be busy next week with my other job, that is being a doctor! So no exercise next week either, but I'll make it up the week after. I'm not feeling guilty about it. I feel guilty about eating vietnamese take out tonight though...Well, I'm not to bad, because usually, when life gets busy like that, I stress eat like crazy.

You've come a long way already. Slow and steady wins the race. Sure you could lose faster if you had more exercise, etc., etc. But you are fitting this new plan into your busy life and it is working for you. You're more than a 1/3 of the way toward your goal. You are doing awesome!

I didn't know you had goats! That is really cool... but not cool, of course, that your goat friend is sick. do you sell their milk and cheese?

Yes we do. We have a little cheese factory. My husband is the one running that.I keep my day job... It seems that my goat is doing better today. We hope it will continue. I took the stairs at work today. I usually work on the fifth floor. Before, when I took the stairs, I had to stop at the 3rd floor because I was short of breath. I almost ran the 5 floors today, 4 times... I thought it was fun!

Good for you on using the stairs!! You can really gauge improvement by how much breath you have on exertion like that. Glad momma goat is improving. I love goat cheese--wish we lived closer!!! You're doing great. Keep up the wonderful work!

oh, that's so neat about your cheese factory. goat cheese is so yummy. please tell me if this is weird and offbase idea, but I always try to buy goat cheese rather than cow cheese because I know that, with goat cheese being less common, it is probably produced usually on smaller farms like yours rather than factory farms. so, I figure to buy goat cheese is good for the animals, because the goats maybe are treated nicer? good for for the small farmers, and good for the environment. I know your biased ;) but does that make sense? good for you on the stairs! I'm so impressed! I don't think I could run up and down the stairs in my building. I want to try, but am afraid I will embarrass myself!

Sorry guys, didn't answer back. We treat our goats so gently. And one of them being really sick, with the busiest week at work(12 hours/day for 7 days in a row) and spending 1-2 hours in the barn attending to my sick goat, my time is streching to a limit. Tomorrow is my last ''busy'' day, so I hope I can exercise again. I kinda miss it. No kidding yet, and it's a good thing because my goat is getting better, she needs to be top shape for the kidding. We try to put very little chemicals in our goats, the minimum they need to be healthy, we have certified bio hay,and certified bio grain, and we stay away from pesticides for the fiels were the graze. So please buy goat cheese, local if possible.

Goat cheese! AWESOME! That is something I have thought about doing. My husband & I have a small ranch. It is always so difficult & emotional to have our babies get sick! In fact my daughter-in-law just got out of veterinary school & I would love for her to move near us so she could help around here. I trust her so much! I hope your lady gets better soon. We raise a few Texas Longhorn cattle we sell the meat (privately). Our meat is hormone-free & we do the same with our pasture not getting sprayed. We also raise chickens (about 150) we sell our eggs! Our chickens are NOT caged at all! At night they go in there house & go to bed but in the a.m. we open the door & they go where ever they want. In fact they stop traffic sometimes! LOL Good luck with your Momma goat!
