Hi, this diet sounds really good to me. I am 24 and my ideal weight is 120lbs. I read that in order for you to maintain a healthy 120 lbs you have to eat 140 calories a day. What if you want to lose weight, how many calories a day should you eat?

You should check out www.thedailyplate.com They have a place where you can enter your weight, how much you want to lose, like so many lbs per week, and then it will calculate how many calories you should have a day. There is a tab that says "my calorie goals" and it will calculate it for you by your weight and height.

That calculation is way off, unless you meant to say 1400 calories a day (which is what I suspect). I second Gracie's recommendation regarding TheDailPlate.

Thanks for the advice. I visited thedailyplate today and I joined. I hope tracking my calories will keep me from binge eating.
