Weekend is good, Body scan was really good lost 3% body fat. Weight loss you know about. Something interesting I lost 700g of muscle even after all the protein I am eating. will need to tackle this

Congrats on the body fat loss! Interesting about the protein. I heard somewhere that we need to use protein (in the form of enzymes etc) to burn energy. All the more reason to eat more protein!

The protein is the way to go. Also not eating all those carbs we thought we needed. In the 80s there was a campaign about that we needed all these carbs, which we don't. What was interesting was it was financed by the wheat grower's association of America. Here we are trying to reverse it all these years later

That's true but carbs are cheap and delicious. My Food bills these days when I buy out are double but protein all the way.

True about carbs and protein over the decades! Ironically, a brilliant study was done here in Australia by CSIRO government research in the 1990's on the benefits of protein for weight loss, which resulted in the "Well-being Diet". Sadly, it was funded in part by Meat and Livestock Ausrtralia! So that always sheds doubt on the evidence they gathered that participants lost more weight on a high protein diet than on a standard, low calorie, carb-based approach. Bummer! I really like that diet, too! We are finding that protein is better and that white carbs are "empty calories". But they are cheap! It's no wonder the fast food places produce so much of this cheap, nutritionally poor food.
