Well, i've slipped on journaling, which was suppossed to get me in the habit so i could transition to tracking my food. Oh, well.
Ever since my last journal entry a week ago, i have continued to be much more centered. I don't know if i was just so exhausted that i was eating out of control, or if it was a hormonal thing. Whatever the cause, I've been ok this week. I have not stuck strictly to Atkins, but my eating has been based on decisions, not emotions or anything else. Most importantly, when i did indulge in 'forbidden' foods i was able to stop. The most surprising example - I bought 2 donuts, and ate 1/2 of each and saved the other halves for later. And then i ate them hours apart. I couldn't believe that i could stop 1/2 way thru! I'm so thankful.
So about the lower weight. . . I had such bad swelling in my legs last week that i took a diuretic all weekend - in fact, 4 days, i think. So i feel like this is a true and accurate weight. Unfortunately, to get another accurate weight i'll have to that again. I won't do that unless i have a lot of swelling.
I know i said i would start Atkins on Jan 1st, BUT we haven't had Christmas yet (because of work scheule) and so i think i will start next friday, the 6th. I'm actually kinda excited. :-)
