Eh, I sorta blew it yesterday afternoon. I was experimenting with a recipe for kid and hubby snacks...making chewy granola bars. (Especially for DD17 -she needs to have portable food with her when skiing. On days that she is teaching lessons, she doesn't get a break for 3-4 hours.) So, the basic recipe is only 7 ingredients, versus 26 in the store-bought bars. I was aiming for something relatively clean. After lightly toasting the oats in the oven...the aroma just floated into my nose and called to me. =) So, yep, I ended up chomping down a bar. That set off the carb binge, and while there are things far worse, 2 bowls of Rice Krispies (w/ unsweetened almond milk) did me in. Back to my homegrown eggs, Veggistrone soup, and some nice grass-fed beef today. The 10 inches of snow we got overnight will keep me happily tucked inside the house today, so I will try to get some serious cleaning done. 2 flights of stairs with 15 steps each will make a good cardio workout.
