I find it nearly impossibly to avoid sugar this time of year. People keep giving me candy at work.
It's not good calories, but I'm still attempting to stay at my calorie goal.
I think for October I'll be happy to just not gain weight.

I was extremely surprised to see I'd lost a few pounds this week. Candy and such may not be nutritious, but it seems my calorie limiting is still holding.

If you work off more calories than you eat, you should lose weight. Exercise to burn off the calories.
