So - after coming off the HCG diet - I went crazy with my eating! So sad. I didn't complete phase 2 or 3 and have slowly but surely gain 10 pounds over the past several months. I was at 158.5 yesterday... I am down 3 pounds but, I have been fluctuating around 154 the past several weeks.

I have been doing some research over the past few months. I am in the middle of reading Gary Taubes' book, "Why We Get Fat... and what to do about it." It talks about the science behind why you can take two people feed them the same things and one person gets fat while the other stays thin. He also talks about how insulin plays a vital part in how, when and where our body stores fat.

My new diet goal is to eat when I am hungry, keep my calorie count down and heavily limit my sugar and carbs. This will reduce my insulin production and allow my body to release my stored fat to use for energy.
