I've tried every single weight loss thing around the block. Nothing has worked. It's got to be me. Soup. Today (and yesterday) I made vegetable soup. It had lean Weight Watcher's bacon cubed sauteed with onions to start and I added 5 baby carrots, 2 small potatoes, 5 half stalks of celery (celery gives soup a wonderful flavour) and herbs, salt & pepper. Today I had no more bread (which is my biggest downfall and causes the most stomach trouble for me) so I made some more soup, this time without the bacon because it all got used up yesterday. I made the soup and left it to simmer all afternoon and for lunch I baked a fish in the oven wrapped in foil. I drizzled some oil on it, put on some dill paste, garlic and lime juice It slightly overcooked so the bottom was just getting too hot when I pulled it out. At the same time I flash boiled some brocolli and some brussells sprouts and quickly froze them. For lunch I ate 2 stalks of brocolli with the fish and it was delicious. I followed it up with a cup of soup and saved the rest till dinner. I ate an orange for dessert. This is the first day I can remember that I only ate decent stuff. My incentive was increased by the site of the white whale getting out of bed this morning in the wardrobe mirror. Not pretty. Don't want to be her.
