It's the strangest thing. I steadily gain weight through the week and then suddenly on the weekend I'm back down to where I started the week. Often not even all the way back down, just hovering above the same number. Today, I'm struggling to touch the same number I had reached nearly 3 weeks ago! I know weight goes up and down but this feels like I'm making no progress for weeks at a time! And I haven't cheated at all!
So much for my great plans of reaching my goal by my birthday. It's about a week and a half away...and while I haven't focused on dates/goals for the last 3 months, this one date really matters to me.
That being said, I truly am grateful for even having reached this far. I am in a drastically different frame of mind than from my last birthday and I know a lot of this stems from the wonderful feeling of knowing I'm working on myself. Regardless of results, I know how impossible it feels for me to get started and stick to a plan like this - I am thankful for whichever internal/external combination of events that aligned to allow me to get started on this plan and for every additional day that I get the chance to continue. I know I need to exercise, I guess I'm not holding up my end of the bargain (with my own body, lol), I just HAVE to.
I also have to figure out why my weight creeps up through the week. I feel like it's just the stress of work. If anything, my meals are much stricter/more regular during the week than on the weekend.
