Expected this. Stressful week with lots going on, including Hurricane Idalia. We were spared any of the severe consequences, thankfully. That being said, there was still all the stress of emergency prep, shopping, crowds, traffic, news reports anticipating the worse to deal with. No emotional bandwidth to discipline myself, mentally and physically exhausted with the pain from Fibro relating to the pressure of the storm, lack of sleep, heightened anxiety. Completely turned to comfort food and paying the price. Still trying to get centered again - I don’t get over or let go of things quickly and am struggling to “re-set” and get back on track. Trying to treat myself like a good friend by being loving, patient and kind and also by not enabling - meaning that when the “hurricane snacks” are gone no more will be coming in the house. Best way I’ve found to avoid that slippery slope.
