Ugh. I think I know why - more protein (muscle gain) and still too much sodium (water gain) - but still a little annoyed. At times during the week 125. And now this. I thought i'd be done by now. #SoldierOn. Have a good week y'all!

I no longer care about the gain because I had a great run this morning. Right up some steep climbs I expected to take walk breaks on, faster and smoother on the flats. The protein is obviously doing some good and/or I'm just getting stronger, so IDC about those 2 lbs. Fit, healthy, happy is what it's about. :)

I started eating wild salmon and [humanely farmed] chicken. :( I feel bad about that, but I've been feeling incredibly weak and worn down. I was so limited in what I could eat. My legume allergy worsened. I knew soy was off the table, but now I can't even do beans. Not enough protein and seeing it in exhaustion, and in my skin and hair. So now I'm doing the Zone. P.S. I'm aware that Certified Humane is partly nonsense. I still buy it to do the dollar vote.

Your friend (or enemy) is a measuring tape not a scale. You can gain muscle while burning fat. The scale cannot separate the two. The tape will.

I always thought it would be hard to be vegan with your allergies. Have you tried, bear with me to the end here, insects? They actually don't taste bad and are an excellent source of protein. If there's a Chinatown near you, you could probably find some easily. I would maybe start with ants. Yes, I'm serious.
