Creeping back into the zone, been difficult as my shift changed again recently. This change is making my food intake window difficult, as I still want to get a large amount of protein daily, but limited time to do so. Also trying to walk more consistently, not a big cardio guy, but I definitely need some daily to balance my calorie intake.

I imagine that shift work wreaks havoc on your body. Must be very difficult. Do you meal prep…like, make a bunch of things on Sunday, so it’s easy to grab through the week? Overnight oats is a favourite of mine. You can add nuts or peanut butter, hemp seed, etc…lots of protein. And, it’s tasty hot or cold!! I make 5 mason jars and grab one for breakfast (also makes a really nice snack if you’re hangry).

Yes, I am the meal prep king. I get done at 3AM, go to the gym at 530AM get home again at roughly 730AM have a hot breakfast (oatmeal with protein powder before the gym) then in bed for 9AM then up to get ready for work at 330PM have a quick meal prep item then off to work at 430PM. I work 4 10's and don't have a break while at work, I am just too busy, but I will eat on the go, protein bar or sandwich. Just a hectic schedule, but I am getting things sorted.

Glad to see you walking more, darkknight. Mild cardio is better than nothing and it does marvels for our mental/spiritual attitude 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️
