Happy Monday! Down 2 lbs this am!! Now, I have been doing all this planning around how I am going to get the scale on the move again and here I am on day one of the revised plan and I am down 2 lbs....REALLY ???? So, I weighed 5 times to be sure the scale wasn't playing tricks on me and YES, it is accurate for this am! I was really active this weekend, housecleaning, bike riding, general running around, did some gardening so this has gotten me off to a good start. Decided to call in and take today off from work. My doc appt is at 11 and I am not really in the mood to work today. Going to do a little more gardening, take a nice long bike ride with DH, work on getting our pool in shape-need to go and get a new ladder. Hope I can squeeze all this in. Have a great day everyone!

Great Deal Babs! I am on the AHA diet model with COMPLEX CARBS (unless I cheat) and have been eating oat graots rather than rolled oat meal and they hold me a lot longer (I don't get hungry as quick) with the complex carbs.
Also found a bread that is NO sodium! It is carried by Kroger frozen in their organic area called ezekiel 4:9 and the recipe is taken from the Bible but is made from organic sprouted grains and is NO salt version or the 80 mg per slice version (still low for bread) and is a really good COMPLEX CARB bread. Also only 80 cal per slice.
I also ordered some NO sodium taco shells (see the lo sodium group's products list) and now I am having mexican....am working on making some low sodium salsa as well....my BP is down now (no medictiion) and Blood sugar as well...and I'm quitting my after supper cheating on too much fruit! So wt is starting to go back down! Good job on the wt loss and going back to the doc!@ Keep it up!

Oxdrover - Glad you discovered Ezekiel's products. I have had their bread and I also love the flax whole grain cereal. There is also another good low sodium bread made by Vermont Baking Company and it is sold at Whole Foods. Good for you getting off the meds, I have a ways to go before that happens.
