so my new job has me on the road a lot and I've used that as an excuse to eat out for the past year. well today I found out I'm pre-diabetic, not something I ever thought I'd hear. time to stop making work an excuse and start holding myself accountable again!

I just need to say something here— what ever made you think that becoming diabetic wouldn’t happen to you? Now the deal is what are you willing to do to live a longer healthier life. It has truly come down to that. Your life is on the line and you can do this if you want to. Lots of people here have gotten their health issues under control by committing to working on a life style change. Don’t give up—-.

Chelsie. T2D is that triggered me to get serious back in 2012. I was able to get it under control in a number of months and I've been perfect ever since. You can go it. Best of luck and reach out (in public or via PM) if I can help with anything.

Maybe you can eat out and eat better? Get some salad instead of mashed potatoes with gravy kind of thing. One course, skip the dessert, drink water, there must be solutions.

Dr. Barnard's book REVERSING DIABETES saved my life. I'm down 60 pounds in 7 months and my A1C is down to normal (not even pre-diabetic, let alone diabetic numbers.) Best part: I did it eating carbs! (But going back to plant based -- I'd fallen off the wagon -- and watching the fats.) Best of luck to you!

The website: Dietdoctor.com has lots of info on reversing T2 Diabetes and pre-diabetes. Very helpful and educational about the low carb way.
