Well, this is staying interesting. Another 3400+ calorie day, according to the BodyMedia Fit. The more I read about it, I'm not finding much good evidence that it's off the mark. One study I found even had it being with 22 calories of a daily total expenditure, compared with "doubly labeled water," which is kind of a gold standard in measurement.

Still, I have trouble believing that I'm burning quite so many calories. If I've been running a huge deficit, eating more may push me off this plateau and start losing even more. Eating more to lose weight...a problem a lot of people wish they could have, right?

Anyway, I decided I'll play it the BMF's way for a while. So yesterday, I bumped up my calories by a big chunk. Usually I'm between 1650 and 1800, and yesterday I turned it up to almost 2200. This on the heels of over 2000 on Friday.

The result? The scale has me 0.2 lower than Friday morning.

Still early yet, but the BMF may be right, and I may be pushing myself off the plateau and -losing- more weight, by taking in 600 more calories per day. In fact, if the BMF is really accurate, I need to be eating like....at least 2800 per day to maintain my weight. I don't even know HOW I can do that.

This is certainly an interesting development though...
