It's the cold weather. My hands and toes and nose are freezing. How can I eat salad? And let's not talk about the pumpkin pie. As you say, ARSE.

Salad is part of the suck hell called summer. Winter is all about comfort, but this can be achieved by winter walks, log fires, woolly scarves and hats, husbands' socks and *new Christmas boots*. And bubble baths and spiced wine. Did I say spiced wine? Oh YES, I did. But spiced wine can be allowed in the face of winter walks. I have put on 2-3 more lbs from the partying that is November (3 birthdays in the run up to Christmas and 1 after, I mean, diet doom or what?!) But 2-3 lbs of lard is not bad in the face of 9lbs still lost and am planning to lose the new blubber in time to put it on again over Chrimbo. Then a concerted effort in Jan along with the rest of the western world... Bbbrrrrrrrr.

Yes! Christmas boots make it ALL better. And ooh, yes, spiced wine! Reminds me, must go give the christmas cakes a drink. Yes, cakes, plural.
