I'm breaking my fast at 12:30 ... scrambled eggs & smoked salmon 😋
I'm sat here, homeschooling again 😩, and fed up because my 9 year old (year4) will just stop the moment I move away from him, that or he'll leg it out of the room. I tried doing yoga behind him while he did maths, last week...well, less than 10 minutes in & he's sat watching me with Bumblebee (Transformer) in hand. I still can't figure out where the blazes he pulled his toy from! Houdini's got nothing on him. I've just looked across & he's trying to read James & the Giant Peach sideways 🙈 Give me patience 🙏 FYI, I've two high schoolers. Oldest is on the ball (yr10) & the other (yr8) is another messer who'd rather play online games with his buddies... so, I've to constantly watch that he's actually getting work done on my laptop.
I'm leaving the house earlier today to go for my walk. Have to collect new maths workbook for my youngest, so he's excited to see his school. Even if it's only for a min or two. Have a great day peeps & stay safe 😷📚

😂 aww Jade, I feel u,,my 8yr old girl was watching YouTube in her room Instead of doing SumDog on her iPad! And I'm having to learn all these new weird and wonderful ways of teaching too,, frustrating but we are all here safe and healthy and haven't strangled anyone yet!!!

I can't wait to hear all the stories the kids will have to share n 5 to 10 years about what homeschooling was like for them & the different tricks they pulled on their parents. Apart from trying to educate them, we really do have to give them good memories too because my lot are certainly doing that for themselves, as is your 8yr old. 🤣🤣
