Frustrated with my progress. Mainly because I can't pinpoint the issues. I'm at 1500 cal, and experimenting with my macros. Doing yoga every day and getting in as many steps as I can. Logging every bite and still am not losing much or gaining. I could probably move a little more but my net cals have been under my BMR almost every day. I'm in the midst of a stressful time but feel I am handling it well. I don't know if it's stress, hormones, some other outside factor, etc. Any advice?

I’m certainly no expert. But I weigh 174 and I need to be 900-1100 cal to loose. It’s not a lot I know.

Are you going through a recomposition? from the activity level your body just may be building more muscle. I'd suggest taking some fat loss measurements to see if your turning some fat to muscle instead

Freetime, you should definitely be eating more than 900 cals. Most health experts recommend no less than 1200 cals. You need energy for your body to function properly. BMR is how many cals I burn at rest. You should burn more cals than you consume. If I eat 1500 calories a day I need to burn at least 200 calories to maintain my weight since I burn about 1300 at rest. My net calories are below my BMR daily but I'm still not seeing results

acd36 that's a good idea. Thanks for the reminder. I haven't taken my measurements in about a month. I will do that first thing in the morning and see if I have lost inches. 🤞🏻💪🏼

A couple of questions: how long have you been trying to be in a deficit? Our weight fluctuates daily for many reasons (water retention due to changes in sodium intake and carb intake), and you might not see a change or much change for a while even if you are losing fat. This is a video about the problem of not losing weight on low calories: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6ZQ0QWPZaY - try to make sure you are getting adequate protein, fiber, and tracking as accurately as possible - estimating rather than weighing portions, and added fats/oils introduce huge inaccuracy, and tend to be a problem for people. If all that's under control and you've given it at least 30 days, and there's no weight loss, maybe see your doctor to check if there might be an underlying issue.

my advice would be dont major in the minor details. Be patient, practice what is necessary and all will fall into place

I've found that *increasing* my calories by about 100 (so from 1500-1600) helps me break through plateaus like this. I couldn't tell you the science behind it, but as long as you're still under around 2000 cal a day you're still in a deficit, so it's safe to do. Might be worth a shot!
