I checked my blood sugar this morning and it was 132. I should be under 115 considering I'm on steroids. When I eat carbs my blood sugar goes up even on Metformin. I had brown rice last night and even though it is healthy it is a carb and floats around in my blood causing my sugar to go up and then stores as fat. that is why I try and stay on a keto diet and avoid the carbs. I can do some vegetable carbs but not much. The starch carbs do not digest in me and turn right into sugar. I stayed below my calorie deficit but I still put on a couple of pounds. This is why I chose this path. Only I understand and maybe a couple people that also do Keto. I am not writing this for anyone to make suggestions or to criticize my way of eating. I'm writing this for myself as a reminder of what I need to do.
