SCALE STILL NOT MOVING!!!! What's a girl to do???? Big challenge today, going to a 50th b'day party for my cousin which is tons of people and all kinds of our favorite family comfort foods. I made tons of mini skewers of shrimp, sausage, cheese, spinach leaves, grilled summer squash and cherry tomatos and a mayo/mustard/garlic & dill dipping sauce. Having a good breakfast before we go. I know there will be grilled chicken and salad there so I will be fine. Hope to get in a nice long walk around the lake so exercise will probably be more than usual today.

Those skewers sound fab! Have a great time and enjoy eating the yummy good-for-you items and resisting the temptations.

Make sure you are drinking lots of water and keep up with the exercise as much as you can. I would try 1 or 2 days at 1000 cal to see if you can shake your body up a little. Just keep with it and the results will happen. I have had periods where I didn't lose any weight, but noticed my clothes were fitting better. Our bodies resist change but will succumb to what we continue doing so hang in there and it will happen. You can do it.

Great advice, thanks! I am keeping at it as clothes are fitting looser, fit into some jeans today I haven't been able to wear in 2 years! Got lot's of compliments so although the scale only says 17 lbs, the look is definately changing. The birthday was fantastic, had grilled chicken breast, pulled pork, some wholewheat pasta salad, green salad, shrimp, cheese nibs. All that was "thoughtful"...but oh yeah, then I had a little piece of homemade chocolate cake and and shared a piece of homemade apple pie. I had already vowed that I was not eating any crappy store bought desserts and if I was going to have any, it would be the best homemade dessert there and only a bit of it. I did consume more calories than usual but I really tried to stick to the cleanest stuff. I am happy with my choices and now I am exhausted after a very long day, 2.5 hr drive each way...night-night!
