So... i watched a really interesting video on youtube by Dr Fung yesterday , he explains how trying to lose weight on a low calorie diet is not sustainable and how research proves that it lowers your metabolism , he further explains how fasting and a low carb high fat diet can help reverse diabetes and the health benefits thereof...
So yesterday i started fasting , i skipped breakfast and had lunch at 13:30 and supper at 18:15 so that puts me in a fasting ratio of 19:5 and this morning i am 900g down from yesterday. I cant quite seem to give up my coffee and i have loads of it with low fat milk and water all day , but just maybe fasting is the answer , i don't feel ready to start a ketogenic diet just yet but i'm feeling very excited about researching it and seeing the difference these life changes will bring to my health :)
