I've been weighing myself every morning after I use the bathroom and shower. I've seen conflicting stuff online about how often to weigh yourself. So what do you guys think about how often you weigh yourself, as far as it being effective to track fat loss?

It’s really up to the individual. I weigh myself every day now, but only record it on fs on Monday’s. In the past I would only weigh once a week on Monday. Occasionally I would step on the scales on Thursday. if there was a loss showing, I would get over confident, it would derail me over the weekend. I track my food and weigh all my protein.

I weigh myself once a week on Friday.

You should weight yourself once a week preferably wednesday or thursday so you will have digested a good amount of the bad food you ate during the weekend and let the water weight go down. Not saying you will eat bad but just in case so you dont psyche your self out

It depends on the person. Everyone has a different mind set. I don't weigh myself everyday, because I know it will make it too easy for me to make excuses.....like.....Oooo, I lost weight so I can treat myself......Oooo, I gained weight so so why bother, I'll just eat what I want. I tried weighing myself once/week and got bored, because the scale moves too slowly. I find the best for me to do is just pick a random day to weigh myself and concentrate more on non-scale victories for motivation.... Like today when I tried on my long sleeve olive blouse and could actually get my arms in and out of the sleeves without a fight.....My wedding ring finally fits!.....My old wrist watch is spinning around on my wrist....etc.

I haven't tried getting weighed once a week. While I try not to get hung up on daily weight changes, I weigh every day because I find it motivating. It gives me something to look forward to every morning. Of course, it's just a number. Suppose it goes up. Is it because of water gain? Muscle gain? Fat gain?Don't know. Same for going down. Measurements (calipers, tape measure) to calculate body fat periodically are also an option. Great question.
