I had a recurrence of a spinal injury (tweaked it again significantly)about 2 1/2 weeks ago which has pretty much laid me up. Leading up to it I had been fairly strict keto for a while, so whilst I was very distracted with significant pain (even on some chunky meds) I decided to fat fast (4-5 coffees/bonox with butter & cream a day + supplements) for about 9 days. Did have a small meal in the middle though. Was much easier than I expected but I didn't expend much as there was a lot of immobility. Not ideal but tried to get a positive from a negative and trying now to stay strict Keto to rid some weight to avert another event like that. Slowly getting a bit better but taking ages.

had a back injury in June this year. S1 and L4 they said 6 months to 2 years. I used a inversion bed. hung upside down when ever I could. back at work now and the only exercises was walking. I can't tell you enough no pain while hanging inverted. give one a try if you can. I understand the pain you must be in.

it may not be for everyone. it just worked for me. my doc was supportive.

@Borisok: Thanks for the tip. will try to look into it. Yeah --- nearly went into the foetal position thinking back a couple of weeks before getting some relief from meds (meaning I could find a seated position of pain relief by holding my right side up by locking out right arm on arm rest). My right tricep would have ended up spectacular had it not improved to the point where I don't have to do that now. lol. Thanks for the support.
