I've been working out 3 x per week weight training and doing cardio at least one to two other times per week and it's been going great. Last night, for example, we decided to go out for supper at the last minute. I told myself that if I was going to do that, I had to go to the gym to do the elliptical machine for 25-30 minutes (which I did).

I had no idea how to work out properly, so I invested "in myself" by getting a personal trainer for 8 sessions. I meet with her once per week and work out on my own two other times per week. Knowing she'll be there really increases my motivation to stick with it, and I think that after 6-8 weeks I'll be in enough of a routine that I'll be able to stick with it.
