Have a craving to eat out, so I’m going to re create restaurant style food at home. Still might be pretty many calories, but no as many as going out. I’m thinking of making homemade Jiaozi, (Chinese dumplings) shrimp sushi, (from the grocer, vegetarian spare ribs, and cucumbers...... Yeah.... probably something to drink too.

Fabulous! I try to recreate restaurant favorites at home too. Usually i am pretty happy with them. 😀

Homemade is almosr always going to have fewer calories and preservatives, as well as less expensive. It's not as easy though, so good for you! Also, I'm glad I'm not the only person who likes to include a drink, despite the empty calories. 🍷

Hubby and I pick a day to make our Jiaozi, because it takes all day and we make a lot. (240-270) Then freeze them on floured cookie sheets. I grind up the fresh meat and chop up the fresh vegetables, herbs, and shrimp. (We put lots of veggies in our Jiaozi like baby boy choy and celery.) Hubby’s job is to make the dough and mix the meat. Then we sit together to fill and shape the Jiaozi. We call it husband and wife bonding time.
