This has been a breakthrough week. For the first time in forever I didn't break my fast with an unconscious inhalation of food. I am an intermittent faster. I actually took a small nibble, let myself taste the flavor and enjoy the texture of my food. I could feel the pleasure center of my brain responding to the chewing action. I think I've achieved the Zen of eating. Then I came out of my reverie and ate my bowl of Cheerios like a normal person. Ooohhhmmm....
