This is not usually my weigh-in day since I vowed to weigh in just once a week, on a Saturday. However, I have cleaners coming and they always move the scale and throw the calibration off, so I wanted to get a baseline. Well, this WAS a very nice surprise. As I try to figure out why I dropped weight, I just enjoy the feeling. I count everything that goes into my mouth, but some weeks, it does not pay off. This past week has been good to me, and the full week weigh in won't be until this Saturday. Who knows what surprises the scale will bring?
I really don't see the weight loss when dressed. I think when you have a huge amount of weight to lose, 20 lbs, or close to it, it is not noticeable to most people. My husband says it is noticeable, so I have to believe him. What I do notice is more energy and less joint pain. That is a very nice bonus to weight loss and keeps you going when you are feeling down from a plateau as I had been. It would be nice to be able to walk these hills the way I used to in the summers and not huff and puff. I believe that setting goals that are unrelated to how you look in clothes is a better motivator. I look younger than my 70 years by at least 15 years. Now I want to feel like 55 or younger again.
