Celebrating another loss, and I wanted to show you all this!
I belong to another site (one where you bet money on how much weight you'll lose in how much time and win a bigger prize) and they often put up little tips to help you stay on track. This is one that I have found to be incredibly helpful!
I bet that I'd lose 40 pounds in 6 months. The jar on the left contains the pounds I have left to go (plus those 3 extra to get me to onederland), and the jar on the right contains the pounds I've lost.
I keep these things front and center, so they're staring me in the face all day. Whenever I'm having urges or cravings, or whenever I'm just sick of eating my healthy food and thinking about running out for some take out, I take those pounds out of the "lost" jar, and I run them through my fingers while asking myself how many I want to put back in the "to go" jar.
Being as stubborn as I am, my answer is always, "None". And I put the pounds I've lost back into the "lost" jar and tell myself that is where they're going to stay!
And if you notice that pink post-it note there, that has my goals for the rest of April on it. I'm not doing as well on those, but I'm working on it, and keeping them right in front of me helps.
