Honestly, the greatest challenge to maintaining a healthy weight/diet has been my back to back schedule... between school and work there were (and will be) way too many 8am-10pm days. Most weekends being completely booked from early morning to late evening for work drained my energy to go grocery shopping...And if I don't grocery shop, I can't meal prep for dinner or make lunches.
So for most of two years I'd drink one or two bottles of coke a day to push through until after 12, then end up eating fast food while rushing to work.... I'm actually amazed I didn't gain more weight than I did, though I was defintely lacking in nutrients 😅
Last month though, after going out on vacation and realizing that only my 'fat' shorts could close properly and that for the first time since my chubby 11 year old days I had a belly pouch I found the determination to start on a diet here.
This week, I finally weigh close to what I used to weigh 3+ years ago and it's incredibly motivating. I'm still working on building meal plans that will work with my soon to be overbooked again schedule with no giaranteed sit down/microwave time but I hope I can keep it up and eventually start hitting the gyn to build up all my wet noodle muscles again.
