All good. Going back up in the right direction. Lots of yard work and laying pavers in the blazing heat equals drop in water weight.

April 23rd I had my annual wellness exam and posted lipid results on May 5th. Yesterday I had 10 week follow up labs and SURPRISE I was able to lower my total cholesterol 10 points down from 179, lower my ldl 10 points down from 107, triglycerides also down slightly and hdl up slightly. I attribute this solely to the only two significant changes in my way of eating. I added back in small amounts of very lean red meat (for the myoglobin) and since early April I kicked the red wine to the curb. In my case red wine does not help lower cholesterol but the exact opposite. And this time frame also included me eating an entire blueberry pie and a pint of sinful vanilla ice cream all by myself. Lol

Breakfast : Two eggs, 1 egg white, mushrooms and 1 slice of Swiss cheese. Side of asparagus and 2 slices of well toasted bread ( how I like it) with Smuckers natural apricot preserves. 2 cups decaf coffee. About 650 calories and 48 grams of protein.

This is just a bunch of sweat ! I always procrastinate on annual lawn maintenance (rocks and cedar ) until the heat index tops +105. If that wasn’t enough I totally emptied the storage shed and purged a bunch of stuff ( things like a wet saw, tiling equipment,stadium chairs, huge drop cloths, painting supplies and old paint and stains ) and gave it a good cleaning with the shop vac.
