SO I had my annual check up and come to find out I have gained 20 lbs since last year's annual. The weird thing is that my pants are looser now than they were a year ago. When I saw that scale hit 262lbs, I about cried. I decided that is it, I am serious about changing my eating habits and making it a permament change. I want to be able to walk without my knees and feet constantly hurting. Unfortunately, my lifestyle is not condusive to healthy eating because I am so on the go. I am making a concerted effort though. Tracking my food helps as does actually thinking about what I will eat. I know every day is not going to be a "good eating" day, like tomorrow. My family and I are going to EPCOT and are eating a late lunch in the German buffet restaurant. There is no healthy eating there. Hopefully the amount of walking and laughing I will be doing will offset that some.
I have tried losing weight before, but I had nobody to be hold me accountable and failed miserably. My hopes in joining this site is to have, not only the accountability, but the support to make this a successful weight loss journey and lifestyle change.

Now I have to figure out how to incorporate excercise in my days. I can't afford, nor do I have the time for, the gym. My neighborhood is not safe to walk after it starts getting dark (even with my protective, big dog). Anyone out there have any ideas? My job is a sedentary desk job in an office. The stairwells are locked so I can't take the stairs up to my office from the garage, plus my knees don't do well on stairs.

Any advise, support, ideas are welcome at this point.
