It is 6:30 and still too hot out (92*) to even think about eating any supper. I did over eat at lunch and looking back that was probably OK since no more food is going to get eaten today, except a small bowl of ice cream. Drinking tons of H2O and sitting near a fan. No A/C in our house!

Happy Monday
I guess a little gain is to be expected when you increase the complex carbs. I am ok with it. Retaining some fluid due to the sunburn as well. Good news is exercise is becoming easier and more enjoyable even in these heat waves of 90*+. I broke 11,000 steps yesterday which is my NEW PERSONAL BEST! 3 laps around the park really helped. Gonna shoot for that again tonight. Takes me about 45 minutes. I love being outdoors and exercise in the summer months has always come easier than when the cold winter months settle in. "Gotta make hay while the sunshines" as they say here in New England!

Had a wonderful day today. After the usual chores, got in a huge power walk. Broke my steps per day personal best AGAIN today with 11,046 so far today. Added an extra lap at the park to make that 3 laps. Hot one today at 94* so made sure we stayed hydrated. Still a little sun burned from our beach day yesterday but I forged thru it.
I have started wearing my wrist band for my BodyMediaFit. I got the wrist band when I originally bought the deal but I never used it until now. I like that I can keep track of my calories burned, steps, minutes of activity and the current time at a glance without having to wait to download my data. I think this is really helping me stay more aware of where I am at for the day. For my buddies out there who use a BMF, do you use the wrist band?
Had a little treat for supper, got a lobster which I split and grilled, not so bad on calories since I passed on the butter for dipping and went for the lemon instead!! Lobster by itself is actually pretty low in calories. Trying to have seafood 3x/wk which really isn't a problem for us since we love it and it is so plentiful here. It can be a little spendy but we figure that with all the crap we are NOT buying now it all evens out.
Only working 3 days this week as my nuclear stress test is scheduled for Thursday & Friday. Not too nervous about that yet.
Hope everyone has had a great weekend! God Bless!

Gorgeous day at the beach today. I love the Long Island Sound, not huge waves so can really do some swimming. Water was a bit choppy but that didn't stop us. We got in a good hour long walk before hitting the sand and did plenty of swimming/treading water.
Did satisfy my urge for fried seafood which hits me once a season. Had fried scallop, clams and onion rings. OK, that is now out of my system as I am now sitting here with a gut ache. DH wants hot dogs on the grill for supper and I have journaled a couple, don't know if I am going to really eat those or not.
Bought some new cereals yesterday which I like in the summer with fresh berries and soy milk. Eggs and such are just too heavy for summer food for me. Geez, read about 10 boxes nutritional labels before I found a couple that were satisfactory. I like the Kashi cereals so chose one with lowest sugar and also got some oat squares again with the least sugar, both have around 6-7 g/serving. I can live with that as opposed to the 25-30g that were in some that you would think are "healthier"!
Found fresh local sweet corn at a roadside stand on our way home from the beach. Planning to roast the beets tomorrow that I got at the farmers market this week, sounds like those may make some good salad concoction with a little greek yogurt, garlic, fresh herbs and an avocado. Will see what I come up with. Having ribs tomorrow night so I think that will go nicely!
Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!

Kind of bummed today, had to say good bye to our 27' pool after it suffered a minor rip during shut down last winter (we thought we had successfully patched) which turned into an unrepairable tear on the 4th of July. In the matter of about 30 seconds the pool was empty as I stood there in disbelief looking up at my hubby on the deck. Our pool guy came out today and determined we could not have the liner replaced successfully because the deluge buckled the sides and made the pool unstable. Deliberated putting in a new pool because we do love it, but it doesn't bring us any closer to our goals of some additional work we eventually want to do with that space. So...no pool. No worries, we have a local town swimming pond in our park we can go to cool off and we always have the ocean on the weekends. We will live with it.
Enjoying a somewhat cooler rainy stormy day today. Supposed to clear out tonight and then be great the rest of the weekend. We are off to the beach tomorrow morning, will get in some great walking and swimming. Hopefully a bike ride on Sunday around laundry and grocery shopping.
Hit new personal best on steps again yesterday of 9324. Taking a break today but will be back after it again tomorrow.
Have a great night everyone!
