Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I've been checking in from time to time, but having a hard time with my depression and haven't been logging my food regularly like I had been.
My sister came to visit and we had a nice time...until a neighbour in my apartment (I don't know which one) called the police because I was "banging on the walls". My sister and I had just come in from a day of shopping and my Lab may have hit the walls a couple of times with her wagging tail. By the time the cop arrived, I was making dinner and my sister was talking to her family on the phone. I was listening to the tv on wireless headphones (which I always do so I don't make too much noise!) and I had no idea why the cop was there. Neither did he. I told him I can't fart in my apartment without a noise complaint. I don't listen to music, have visitors very often or even feel comfortable talking on the phone. Don't even get me started on what I do to my poor dogs if they dare to bark. WTF is wrong with people? Needless to say, everyone else in the building listens to music, cooks, watches tv at a normal volume and vacuums. Now I will too. FFS. I am so upset.
Sometimes, I just really hate my life and I want to binge on potato chips. So far, I've been able to hold out. I just don't want the miserable people to win.

A couple of people pointed out that I had left the "red zone" on the weight chart when I posted my last weigh in. Thanks Deb_N and Snezica! I hadn't even noticed. Very cool.

I have been slacking on logging my food and I decided it was because I wanted to see if I could control my eating and still lose weight without logging. It was a partial success. I still lost weight, but I found it harder to eat carefully especially with the carb cravings that come to me with the fall season.

I don't think I will make it to my goal of 215 by the end of the year, but that may be just as well since I can't really afford new clothes. I am going to have to keep my activity levels up as there are at least 3 holiday dinners in my future. It's not the turkey and vegetables that are a problem, it's all the yummy desserts that are the problem. Darn sweet tooth of mine.

I have increased my activity levels, thanks to Google Fit app on the new Android 5 update on my phone. I had a fitbit zip once and it fell off my jeans and was lost within a month :-( I'll stick with my phone for now since I can't chose from all the wristband fitness trackers out there now.

I haven't been very active on FS either, sorry buddies, but I have been checking in and cheering you on in your journeys. Hope all my U.S. buddies have a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Woop. I checked the scale three times, so I'm going with it. It's funny how I stay the same weight for days and then suddenly drop two pounds. It's kind of unsettling, because I get discouraged from eating well, then I see the drop and get relieved and motivated again. Such a roller-coaster. You'd think I would learn and have faith, but I don't have much faith in myself, I guess.
My birthday is tomorrow. I won't be celebrating, alone. I have things to do, but none of them involve my birthday. I have my TOPS meeting that was switched to Monday so we could do an aquafit class and I will go to that. I have to remember to record DWTS, since I look forward to it every week.
I did receive a nice birthday card from my mother who hasn't spoken to me in almost three years. She said I could write her now. How kind. I guess I have pretty mixed feelings about that and my whole f****d-up, dysfunctional family. You'd need a spreadsheet to keep track of who cares about who on any given day. Sheesh.
Pity party of one over here, lol.
