Riding see-saw here... Do my weigh in the same time each day but small variations may also be due to water balance. Let's see over a week but it seems like I hit some sort of a platue here. Cannot expect much in 24 hours anyway. Must not that yesterday I ate way under my RDA. Carbs under 50g so that is good. I felt hunger just before dinner and about an hour after. Maybe my meal is just too big and unbalanced during the day? I saw a reference for ketosis that say total carbs must be below 25g, then I still get too much? I like avo but 1 pretty much spoils that. I must say that an avo for lunch really carries me through but leaves no space for carbs form veggies like broccoli. How do I determine wat the specific carb cut off is for my weight now? That will reduce as I loose weight? Maybe should do just half an avo. Maybe I should check the avo weight - is the given total for weight of the total fruit or just the edible part?

I am not alarmed about the sudden rise unless it follows a tendency over a longer time like a week. I was used to a big drop every day for the first days. To be realistic somebody of my size and activity can not possibly loose more than 500g of real body fat a day unless my activity increased dramacticaly and I barely ate or not at all. I did loose almost 5kg over the course of the week, how much of that was water. I cannot imagine all of it is only water but maybe most of it. Did my previous diet cause a lot of water retention (to that extend) or are there other factors. Maybe the sudden change in diet or ketosis has some diuretic effect. But loosing 5l of your body's water under normal circumstances seems strange. I though I was just fat and not also oedemic. However I like the outcome because I cannot say that I cheated the diet in anyway since I started or at least being deliberate about it. I did track my calories fairly accurately in my opinion. Maybe it is just the natural course of this, I hear people talk about this so I was never too over optimistic or unrealistic. I just hope some of that was actually body fat.
