Again, I come here to try to get myself back on track. Food is not my issue. Being unable to exercise or even walk due to severe arthritis has taken it's toll. Finally going to go to an endocrinologist. I do love my wine. It may be my greatest source of calories because god knows I barely eat. And yet, here I am at 248 lbs. Going to try a primarily liquid diet just to drop the weight. then hopefully, the endocrinologist and the orthopedist will be able to get me a bit more functional.
Since my last post, I have had 2 orthopedic surgeries- tore everything in my left elbow, and had sever arthritis in my foot requiring absolute no walking on it for a month. in the mean time, I tore up my opposite knee. Likely will require surgery too. This is why I keep saying I can't exercise or even walk at this point. So I am hopeful that the endocrinologist will get me started on the weight loss and by the time I'm healed from the knee, maybe I'll be able to start being active again.
Something's gotta give here. I'm going to be 50 this year. I'm supposed to still have a lot of life left in me.
