O.K. Everyone call me CRAZY!!. I'm going public. I have decided to give my second marathon a go. I really enjoyed my 5K with my 13 year old daughter. I was very slow, but I did finish. She finished in 30 minutes.
Now I am going to try the a true half marathon walk/jog. Tonight is our first meeting for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Traning Event. They will start working with us to get us in shape for several events around the country. I am going to try a 13K in Cleveland in May of 2008. The whole ideas is raise money for the Lukemia & Lymphoma Society and to get in great shape at the same time. They provide team trainers and the events etc. We provide the fundraising and the desire to get in shape. I felt like this was one way to force myself to get out there and move and to do it for more than just myself. I can't believe that I have waited 45 years to begin to do this.
Keep your fingers crossed. I'm going to need your good thoughts

Wow,
Not doing great. I need to stick to things more carefully. I'm feeling a little depressed and overwhelmed. I start soccer next week in an over 30 league and I am way over 30. Hopefully, I won't make a fool of myself. I need to move more. Working at a computer and being stressed just kills my weight loss. Having children and a husband who are very thin just makes it more difficult.

Hi Everyone,
Slow and steady. I know it's hard. I have just celebrated 1 year on Weight Watchers. I have dropped 45 pounds. Not exactly earth shattering speed but I am hoping to loose another 45 in a year. I just celebrated my 45th birthday and completed my first 5K walk with my 13 year old daughter this weekend. I really needed something "no nonsense" and "no gimmick." Also, I found that this life style change really helped me to start controlling my frequent migraine headaches that were contributing to my weight gain. For those of you who have them, you know that you feel that you need sugar when they are coming on. This can really screw up your diet. Finding the right doctor also helped.
Here's too keeping us all moving forward!
