I feel really serious about this. And I almost want to weigh myself, but I know it will be silly to weigh every day. I'm only going to do it once a week. For dinner tonight I'm going to try the Ground Turkey Vegetable stir fry with some brown rice on the side.
My boyfriend and I came up with an idea that we would try healthy but cheap/simple recipes until we find a few weeks worth of ones we like. Put them in a binder, and every week shop according to our recipes then rotate them out. Buying only what we need, so we don't over spend, possibly throw out food that goes bad or over eat. I think it's a good idea, and I can't wait to get started!

I have been battling with my weight for as long as I can remember. When I was around 6 or 7 I noticed I had a little pot belly going on, I would stand in front of my mirror and suck it in, then suck it out, suck it in, then suck it out. Not much has changed.
Through out my late teens I began to starve myself and excessively work out. My God! Did the weight come off! And FAST! Little did I know just how harmful it was to my body. I started this starving binge at about 180lbs I stopped at 130lbs, and the only reason why I stopped was because I passed out.
Ever since then, I've had this food addiction issue. I don't know if you would really call it addiction. But there is definitely an attachment going on.
I'm 22 years old now, and I'm sick of this constant battle. From speaking with many different people, I've learned that weight loss is a mental thing. If your head isn't in it to lose, then you won't lose...in a good way.
My boyfriend and I have decided to take this journey together. He probably only has 15lbs of fat to lose at most, and then he wants to get "jacked" in his terms lol. I on the other hand, have a good 50lbs to lose. He is being extremely supportive and kind, and that is just what I need.
We just stocked our fridge with nothing but healthy food, found a gym to join together, and have been massive amounts of research on the right way to lose weight. And that isn't to diet, it's a lifestyle change; FOREVER.
So, at exactly 12am on July 10th, 2012, I am making this commitment to myself to become a healthier person.
