I spent some time this weekend planning and shopping to start Atkins today. I have a couple days of meals planned and some food prepped. I bought a bunch of those snack baggies and put vegetable servings in them and marked on the outside how carbs in each packet. I'm going to do the same with chicken breasts once I get them portioned.
Also got some prepared meals, snack bars and shakes for those times when I'm on the run.
I'm feeling pretty good about this. I'm also meeting my sister at the gym on Monday and Fridays. Feeling pretty darn positive!

Went to the gym for the 1st time last night. Actually got to weigh myself on a real scale. I assume it was accurate. So, my new starting weight is 268.
I've decided on starting the Atkins diet to see how that goes. I'll get all my grocery shopping done this weekend and prepare a bunch of meals and snacks for the week.
Wish me luck. I want to treat myself to Vegas for Christmas and want to at least be under the 200lb mark.

I really need to get to the gym and back on the treadmill. But mainly to weigh myself. I haven't weighed myself on a legit scale since the last time I went to the Dr 3 months ago. I weighed 250 at that time.
I am making a promise to myself that when I get home tonight, I'm going to pack a gym bag and put it in the car. The next time I drive myself to work I will go to the gym on the way home.

I was doing so good yesterday. Right up until I settled in to watch some tv before bed. Ugh! I was craving something, so I had a couple cuties. Hoping the sweetness would cure my craving. Nope. I ended up having one of those Costco muffins. Mind you, I don't usually have stuff like that in the house. But my son brought them over and forgot to take what was left.
Although, I do feel better today. Even though it's only been a few days where I've really been concentrating on my carb intake.
I'm not giving up because of one bad choice. But I will be picking up some low carb snacks on the way home tonight.
