well,I'm 51. in my 20's I was kind of a winter gym rat. I used to lift about 6 days a week. in the summer I would taper off my schedule and all that muscle turned to fat because I still ate like I was lifting. I've always had a gut because I hate cardio. in my late 20's I crushed a disk in my back, which lead to a massive blood clot in my leg that eventually lead to my lungs. fast forward to now and I've always been able to power through my back pain, until about 5 years ago. I developed another clot in my lungs that the doctors couldn't explain. these really zap the stamina out of you. so its been a struggle to exercise. my doctor has been urging me to loose weight. I've struggled for the last 5 years with it. so now I'm trying keto.
