I've struggled with my weight most of my life. As a teenager I was active and played sports to control my weight. As an adult I learned I had to control my eating habits and spent at least 6 hours per week in the gym and powerlifted with my husband. After having our child, my priorities changed, I put myself and my health last. After having trouble fitting into the kiddie roller coaster with my son, started having achy joints, and my husband telling me that I'm starting to snore, I realized that if I want to live for others, then I also have to prioritize myself as well.

As I'm getting closer to menopause, I'm learning that I have to regulate my hormones. Cutting calories alone does not work for me, I have to fast intermittently, balance my macronutrients, and workout efficiently (3 sets compound strength training with no rest followed by sprints of activity) because I have less time to workout. My goal is to eat my ideal body weight in grams of protein, less than 100GMs in carbohydrates, and fat can fall where it lies. This is what is currently working for my endomorphic body.
