Over the years I added weight and got up to 225lbs. Office worker, no exercize program during the period of weight gain - which has been the last 8 years. I am a 59 YO Male Texan - married 33 yrs - 1 boy, 1 girl - now just starting the empty nest phase
On Sept 1 2014 @ 225.4 I joined a club and changed my diet drastically. I workout 5 days a week for a hour each day. For me its 80% diet and 20% calorie burn. One Year Later Sept 10 2015 I am 173.5lbs - 51.9 lbs lost in 52 weeks. Per day stats look like this: I am eating and drinking between 1800 and 2000 calories a day, 100+ oz of water a day, Almost no sugar - candy, cakes, drinks, dessert... Total Daily Fat ~ 40g, Total Daily Carbs ~ 80-120 (almost all fruit and vege), Fiber ~ 30-40, Protein ~ 70-90. Waist size down from 40 to 32 shorts,jeans/Dress slacks 34. A1c down from 8/9 to 5.BUTTTTTT the above is 100 % true. THEN over Feb 2020 I found it all gained bach. 225.8lbs. Back to daily food diary on Feb 25 lost 8 lbs in 10 days. Much lower carbs and calories than above - committed to redo prior experience of loss but not regain. 3/5/2020.
