Born in 1954, 3rd of seven. Two sons, one in 3rd year pre-med. The other graduate and works in family business. Business requires many, many hours. It was difficult to get to the grocery store so we dined out often and wondered why I gained so very much weight. The pre-med, exercise science son came along and explained how restaurants make food taste good. He wanted me to see what veins look like in a cadaver who didn't exercise and ate like I was eating. They are brittle and hard and actually crunch. Healthy veins are smooth and supple. The day after this news was delivered my dear, sister in law (really a sister she has been loved for so long) decided we are going on a vacation in 3 months and when we go we are going to be HOT CHICKS! So now I go to Church at 6:30 am and off to the grocery store. Home by 7:30 am and off to work. Food has become easy and inexpensive now. I just have to now figure out how to work in exercise. Maybe drag the treadmill to the office!
