Hello. I am a 34 year-old mother of two awesome boys, 17 months and 3 years old. After having my second child, I never lost the baby weight and added a few extra pounds besides. There came a point when I knew I could no longer call it "baby weight" and needed to do something about it. Of course, knowing you need to lose weight and actually losing it are two completely different things.

I tried several times. I always go all or nothing. I start out exercising and eating completely healthy. I last a week or two, even lose a couple pounds, and then I mess up. And if I cheat on my diet once, it just seems to start a downhill pattern from there.

I don't know what I'm going to do differently this time. But I am not going to starve myself of the things I crave. I will try to have less, and eat healthy overall. I am not going to be perfect. I am afraid though, when I step on the scale and it doesn't move that much, I will get disappointed and give up again.

I want to feel good about myself. I miss the second glances I used to get from the men. Even though I am happily married, it's good for the self-esteem.

I'll just take it one day at a time and see how it goes. Good luck to everyone else out there.
