Technically I started at 161 before I began my weight loss journey, but I started at 155.5 when I joined fat secret (my max weight I have hit is about 174 lb). I deleted my weight history on here because it wasn't accurate and it was a sporadic mess of random weigh ins. So now it has been updated to where I started at 174. I intend to get down to 135 then address where I want to go from there. If I feel that 135 is my ideal weight then I'll work on things like a better mile time and maybe putting on more muscle. Who knows? Maybe I'll be happy at 145.
I know that at my current weight, I am unhappy with the body (particularly the additional fat in the midsection) I see in the mirror. A lot has happened since I initially joined fat secret. I moved, started various new jobs and left a few jobs. Started a company, created The Stall Ninja (TheStallNinja.com) a portable restroom stall door lock, moved some more. Ended a few relationships, etc.
I've had to address various emotional problems and I finally have, or at least I feel like I have. I gained love pounds, lost love pounds. Gained more love pounds and now I'm on the trek to losing the love pounds. This most recent max was 172, so I didn't let myself sneak further into it. My fiance and I are on this weight loss journey together, we're using a food scale and being more mindful of what we're eating. Long term, I think this is the best way to go. It's cheap, effective, requires little time from us - literally counting calories, not trying to adhere to a certain requirement - and we use our cheat day wisely. I've been working out more using Ring Fit Adventure and Wii Fit Plus to keep me motivated.
He started at 205 and is already down to 196 (5'7 male). So I'm hopeful we can do it together.
