I am an almost middle aged chick that decided to quit a very successful career and give back to my community through education. But, because I am an overachiever, I went back to school to get a BS in the sciences so I could be a better educator. I have 2 more semesters to finish up my BPS and start teaching kids how not to blow up their chemistry lab. In the interim, I do what I have done best. I'm a Staff Accountant and am working flex hours until my degree is done. Another cool thing about me, I still hold licenses as an Embalmer & Funeral Director and have a degree in Mortuary Science. I used to moonlight as a mortician when my kids were younger. Accounting was my day job and I got to work with the dead at night. It was a cool gig.

For anyone actually reading this bio, I am on marriage number 2. He's pretty cool. I think I'll keep this one. I have 2 kiddos from my 1st marriage. My daughter is in high school and my son is in 5th grade. My husband and I rescue senior dogs. We currently have 4 senior old ladies. We also have A cat. His name is Skittles and he is terrible. We have been renovating our house for 1000 years. I'm over it and ready to not live in a construction zone. We have a great group of friends that are more like family and we stay active in our local groups.

In the interim on day to day chaos, I have realized that I need to work on not only my intellectual and emotional health; but, I really, really need to focus on my physical health. So, I scoured the internet and thought this site looked promising. My goal is to lose weight, not to be thin, but to manage the larger, overall picture of my health.
