In early 2014 I faced up to my demons and started recording my voyage with fatsecret. Since, I've resolved the belly over the belt issue and dropped about 10 kgs and two dress sizes. The ongoing goal is to trim and tone the wobbly bits. I'll leave the rhetoric question on this page because it serves as a reminder as to why am I doing this?

I take my hat off to my fellow FS peers. It's bloody hard having others see the trials that revolve around our lives. Better to enjoy the journey and keeps ones head below the parapets as weight loss is very personal and comments, however innocent can open one up to abuse. Stay on my own waka and be positive to those who work hard, occasionally default and have enough humility to bite the bullet and get back on the wagon.

When I started this journey, I wasn't entirely sure … Now I know it was time to take action rather than wait for my body to deteriorate completely. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. and a more recent lesson ... maintenance works if one keeps the weigh-ins to a regular but greater interval.

Then I was not happy with the belly that hung over the top of my skinny jeans. Summers has gone and I've pulled out the jeans … discovered belt is too large so have resorted to adding a new notc). After a year (Nov 2015) it's all for the better tho I've been juggling with the maintenance process.

I love food … and maybe … if I put a bit of effort into it, I can continue to maintain this weight and level of fitness. I know the technicalities, now dealing with the practicalities and have learn to cut myself (and others) a break if they slide a little.

The hard truth hasn't changed … if I put it in my gob, I need to move me arse.
