I can't believe how fat I got. I always had a few extra pounds but, in the past 3 years, it just got out of control. I stopped watching what I ate and boy did it show. I would look at pictures of myself and just cringe. Then, I decided to accept myself as an overweight person and within a few months, I started to eat healthier. I think, it was the acceptance that brought me to that point. I found out about the "Fat Flush" diet and ordered a used copy from Amazon. I read it with interest and went to the local health food store and stocked up on some of the essentials. I cut out lots of foods from my diet. The fat flush also helped with some lower GI issues I was having. Within one day of starting the diet, I already saw an improvement in my health. It's hard for me to find organic poultry and meats so, that is one area that I still just eat regular purdue or tyson chicken but, I cut out all pork products and processed meats. I only drink water with lime and tea. Some coffee too but, I try and stick with the organic. It's expensive so sometimes I add regular coffee too. It is a tough diet to stick to when you are at other's homes who are not into healthy eating. But, in a pinch, I eat peanut butter on celery or apples or bananas. I also always carry some kind of snack in my pocketbook incase there is nothing I can eat. I feel so much better and can't wait till next summer when I can actually wear shorts and not be freaked out!! lol
